I booked half of Skal for my 50th birthday. I ordered the roast suckling pig and the Gjetost Cheesecake for me and 30 of my friends. Adam and his team were very attentive and helpful in setting up the event and then hosting it. Because we were gathering at a Scandinavian beer hall with long tables, a huge fireplace with a carving of Odin overhead, we, of course, were all dressed up in Viking kits. The feast was excellent and a good deal as far as I am concerned. Big celebrations aside, my friends and I gather here often for dinner/drinks. They have great talks there too. Highly recommend!

I really like their food. Literally everything was delicious. We have got Mac&cheese, pretzel (beer-cheese was really good), duck hearts. They also have some decent beers line. Overall it’s a good place to see.

We were surprised to find so many vegan options at a Viking beer hall!. The (Viking Size) pretzel and mustards were all so incredible. The salad was super fresh and well prepared, and the roasted cauliflower was delicious!! Whoever is cooking this stuff up on Saturday night needs a raise. The staff was all very friendly and the atmosphere is real cozy. My husband and I played a couple games of magic and drank some beer after dinner. Looking forward to bringing more of our friends here in the future!

Mac n Cheese is the best that I've had in Seattle yet. The pretzel is GIANT and the perfect texture - the beer cheese is, unfortunately, worth the 4 upgrade. We got farmer's cheese, duck hearts, and venison skewers. I think that the farmer's cheese is actually halloumi? Either way, everything was delicious. Inside makes you feel like you're in Skyrim. They have a wide selection of board games. Barman was super nice, service was great! 10/10 will come back and bring friends.

The food is really good. The chef changes up the menu regularly and adds new seasonal items. The pretzel is fantastic, definitely get the beer cheese and the mustards! The ligonberry mustard is really tasty. There is a special mead menu and they have great beer on tap. Definitely a good happy hour spot. Jessie and Sally are wonderful servers who make the space very welcoming.

We stopped in on Sunday afternoon and this place was busy, yet wasn't frenzied. You place your food & beverage orders at the bar. They have a great staff and they were very efficient and friendly! Great beer selection and a food menu sure to please everyone! The Giant Pretzel with cheese is a must. We enjoyed our afternoon and we will be back!

We knew that Ballard is known for it's scandinavian heritage, so when we were driving pass we had to give this place a try. It was rather hard finding parking on a Saturday evening around 6pm, we had to circle the block(s) a couple times to finally found a spot. As soon as we enter, it was a very lively place! The place seemed full but when we walked further in, fortunately there was a couple seat at the bar. Husband is Danish so he ordered the danish mead and Carlsberg for his drinks, I got myself peach raspberry cider and lemonade. For food we ordered the meatballs and the fries. Meatballs were so so and a bit dry, had to dip it in the gravy and with the jam a lot to not taste the dryness. The fries were excellent, flavorful and fried up perfectly. Husband really liked the danish mead drink! Waitress and waiter were friendly and attentive. Definitely a fun place to visit and we will come back a different time to try the feast!

A new favorite. Popped in on a whim and was pleasantly surprised by the amazing food and delightful mead options(it's hard to find good mead sometimes).
